Qatar University has a strong commitment to providing its students, faculty and visitors with state-of-the-art facilities that complement their campus-wide emphasis on sustainability. In late 2013, they made the decision to refurbish the multi-purpose meeting hall within the College of Business and Economics. For all AV components of the project, it turned to systems integrator, Techno Q, an award-winning Qatari company founded in 1995. Techno Q was tasked with implementing a large video display that would not only meet the University’s strict guidelines for image quality and viewing experience, but also for energy efficiency and overall sustainability. Prysm’s Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) technology was the clear choice for Qatar University as it consumes considerably less energy, runs cool, and for its wide viewing angle and superior image quality.
