The article continues to mention 3D entering the digital signage industry. “3D images are presented without requiring viewers to wear special glasses, by using auto-stereoscopy. This provides depth perception for the viewer even though the image is produced by a flat device. For signage applications, this means that a 3D presentation will require a dedicated screen and player capable of supporting auto-stereoscopy, although the combination will also be able to display 2D content if required.”
