ClubMulwala Chooses Exterity’s IPTV And Digital Signage System To Deliver Modern Video Communications To Guests

Exterity announces that ClubMulwala in New South Wales, Australia, has deployed an Exterity IPTV and digital signage system to keep pace with needs and demands of its modern, tech-savvy membership.

ClubMulwala, an upscale resort in the Riverina district, wanted to upgrade its audio-visual facilities with a deployment that would meet the evolving expectations and needs of its members. The previous facility-wide TV system was based on an old analogue design and only offered standard definition TV and a limited number of channels. ClubMulwala contacted The Avit Group, a leading AV technology company, to help them find a more modern and flexible system with integrated digital signage to ensure it was delivering information and entertainment to members in the most compelling way.

“The new IPTV system offers great picture quality and has proven incredibly easy to use – it definitely enhances the guest experience,” says Alan Rowe, CEO, Club Mulwala.

Avit upgraded ClubMulwala’s core video distribution system to an Exterity based IPTV solution, which is integrated with a Crestron control function that allows staff to easily manage screens and audio equipment from a simple control deck. The TV quality has been upgraded to full HD with the option to deploy 4K as required in the future. In addition, each of the 28 screens across the gaming lounge has digital signage capability that is supported by four dedicated, portrait mode LCD screens that run marketing and other promotional messages to visitors.

“The Club is in quite a remote part of Australia, and one of the main requirements was reliability and ease of use,” explains Brad Magri, Operations Manager for Avit Group. “We had worked with Exterity on other projects and it has all the features the Club needed, but more importantly, the technology has never let us down.”

With the new solution, all management functions are delivered from the Exterity AvediaServer central platform with ArtioSign digital signage software. Following a short training session provided by Avit, ClubMulwala’s facilities team have been able to run the system independently, including creating their own promotional material without any further assistance.

“Today’s resort guests are more tech-savvy than ever and it’s crucial that hospitality venues keep pace with the changing demands of their clientele,” said Jamie March, Sales Manager, ANZ at Exterity. “ClubMulwala shows how hoteliers and resorts can deliver compelling experiences to guests by using an IPTV system that delivers high-quality video communications across its premises, and we are proud Exterity’s solutions were chosen to fulfil this ambition.”
